Tamiya 1:35 British Universal Carrier Progress

The Bren Gun Carrier is one of my favorite vehicles and its about time I got round to building one.

This is a nice kit as you get lots of accessories with it so you can customise the model to your liking. I have also been using this kit to practice improving the look of my figures.

There is still a lot of work to do here but its been an enjoyable build so far!

It’s getting pretty blue with hop ups now. I can now set the camber on all 4 wheels. Not played with it too much but will adjust it for drifting.

Arms with adjustable camber, oil filled shocks and propeller joints for the drive shaft. All are Aluminium replacing plastic parts. Shocks need to be built and filled with oil so they will need to set overnight.

Ball Joint Steering Upgrade for Silvia (TT01 Chassis)

Today I fitted a part aluminium ball joint steering upgrade to my TT01 chassis. This replaces the stock steering track which is all plastic and screwed in. This upgrade has improved steering control which is especially handy when drifting.

The upgrade item is a 3Racing Steering Track. It says it is for the TT01E but comes with the parts also needed to fit it to the TT01.

Why I can drive my car in heavy rain.

How I can drive my car in heavy rain.

Waterproofing the receiver is as simple as stretching a party balloon over it and tightening the end where the wires come out. I had already replaced my stock speed controller with one that happened to be water resistant so no action was needed there.

Upgraded Blackfoot with 12t x2 Motor and new Electronic Speed Controller

I decided to once again upgrade my motor on my electronic monster truck. The maximum upgrade people seem to recommend for a truck of thistype is a 12 turn with x2. the x2 gives it a little more torque to make up for the torque lost by using a lower turn motor. In order to use this I also had to replace the stock speed controller with one that would support a 12t motor.

The motor is an LRP v10 spec5 12×2 and I am using a Modelsport Sniper RV-12 ESC.

They seem to give the truck a nice boost compared to the small gain received by upgrading it with a tamiya motor.
