I took this little video of the hovercraft leaving its pad at Portsmouth today. Always an impressive sight and even more fun to be aboard.
I printed this cool little paddle boat over the weekend. It was simple to print and just needs an elastic band to power it.
The model was made by user swtchrwr on Thingiverse.
Click here for a link to the model and the settings I used to print it. I printed the hull at 5% infill to make it nice and light.
Because the boat at full scale was too big for my printer I printed it at 60%. The pegs and paddle were too big for the hull so I printed the paddle at 50% and the pegs at 60% with a few mm taken off the width and depth.
Hopefully I will be looking at printing a steam powered boat next.
Testing my team C Jekyll buggy. I am impressed with the performance but it is overheating my esc so I need to sort that out.

Spektrum DSM radio.
Here you can see the Jekyll doing a little wall riding. This is with a 7.2v battery pack.
My stock 17.5 Thunder tiger smoked out last week so I have replaced it with an orion 12×2 motor.
Modelsport is currently selling orion motors at half price.
I am tempted to pick up some more as spares.
Bashing with my Twin Hammers and Losi Micro short course truck.
A short video of my first drive with the Twin Hammers Rock Crawler / Buggy.
I was not going full throttle as I was only driving with one hand and this was towards the end of the battery.
Its great fun to drive and I was surprised at how often it wheelies from a standstill. It is very easy to tip over at speed and therefore requires much more brake control than most vehicles.
Luckily they are cheap and easy to get hold of.
Listen for the nice crunching sound in the video.
I should have some Infantry painted and ready to add to a Diorama soon. I will let you know what I think of the brushes too.
Taking our souped up Tamiya Blackfoot monster trucks for a bash in the park and skate park.
