My biggest undertaking so far.

This is a model hovercraft kit I have just received.
It looks to be both a unique and challenging build.
You can find out more about the kit here.

The Bren Gun Carrier is one of my favorite vehicles and its about time I got round to building one.
This is a nice kit as you get lots of accessories with it so you can customise the model to your liking. I have also been using this kit to practice improving the look of my figures.
There is still a lot of work to do here but its been an enjoyable build so far!
I finally got around to doing some more of my tiger tank build at the weekend. Last week I received the final parts of the series so I thought it was time to get back into it. In this session I fitted the exhaust stacks to the back of the tank and added the left track. The track is made of 96 metal links held together with pins.
I did encounter some badly cast track links, but these were overcome with a bit of filing and brute force.

The second 4 parts of the series include the main chassis, the front chassis, the front lower wish bones and the first Tyre.
Strangely they have also sent Vettel’s head which I can only assume they have included as an option if you do not like Mark Webber. As far as I know British and Australian subscribers get a Mark Webber edition where as Germany are further into a Vettel themed model.
You can see the First wheel and tyre glued together in the Photo along with a battery to give an idea of scale.
I should have some Infantry painted and ready to add to a Diorama soon. I will let you know what I think of the brushes too.
My first batch of parts for the Red Bull 7 kit arrived today.
The parts include bits of the front wing, rear wing, a wheel and an oil filled shock to build.
The front wing had some small parts that were pretty annoying to fit but I got there in the end.
You can see the oil filled shock balanced between paint pots in the photo.
This is to let the oil spread around the shock assembly and remove pockets of air.

Got round to picking up some polystyrene glue today to fix my spitfire. I am sure I will break it again over the holiday no doubt.
This is my Airfix WMIK Land Rover.

The model was painted with the suggested humbrol paints and washed using mig productions brown wash.
It was highlighted and weathered using a tamiya weathering kit.
I plan to use it in a diorama I am working on.
I finally got round to doing some more work on my Tiger Tank. The parts I have been working on are the lower hull and front plate.

This is a cheap model I ordered from emodels. It was made by a company in Moscow and the quality of the kit is particularly poor compared to the likes of Tamiya, Revell and Airfix. Still it was a quick build and I don’t think it turned out too bad. I particually like the slogans in Russian covering the hull.
The gunner is from a pack of Tamiya Russian tank crewman.
