With my hovercraft up and running I decided to experiment with some different propellers.
The first one I am testing is this 3 blade propeller. I read mixed opinions regarding propellers online but this propeller does seem like an improvement over the stock one.
Immediately noticeable is the fact that the hovercraft lifts into a hover at a lower throttle, this has multiple benefits. The first is that it can be flown quieter than with the two blade propeller.
Hovercraft’s are loud so having run quieter means that you are less likely to annoy someone with the noise (great for playing indoors).
The second benefit is where it lifts at a lower throttle you have more of a range to play with. Because of this I found it easier to control the hovercraft at lower speeds.
